    Posted: Jun 30 2008 at 12:08am

After 3 months of rocking my fro/puff I discovered that my African Pride/Africa's Best/African Royale Braid Sprays/Sheens (yes, I had alot of braid sprays, I don't know why, lol) makes my hair really soft, shiney/sheeny, and easily manageable! It beats out everything when I'm wearing my hair loose, even my glycerin/water mix (dare I say it). I was very surprised because when I have braids it usually builds up on my scalp easily but not with my fros/puffs. The second ingredient is usually Glycerine in these braid sprays (a plus) but I'm afraid to even see whether the other ingredients are good or bad for my hair because it works so well and I don't want to stop using it.

Any of you ladies use Braid Sprays/Sheens on your hair even when it's not braided?

Or, do any of you have any other products that you use outside of their intended usage?

Thanks in advance!Star

i do it make my hair sooo soft and moisturised and i'm using it now.
i use African Pride Braid spray and it doesn't leave my hair greasy, sticky, oily or feeling wieghted down with product.

i use jamaican mango and lime lotion as my hair moituriser and my hair loves it just add a lil glyercin to it and bam.if you use too much it can make your hair gueey but i use a lil braid spray then my JML lotion on my hair and it's is moisturised for the whole day.

I've never used it on my natural hair, but I have heard some people do and they love it! I've seen those braid sprays and the ingredients aren't bad. If it works then so be it! Braid spray it is!

i usually dilute it with 1/4 to 1/2 water (mostly just so itll last longer)

I started using new growth on my hair when I did long stretches.  It worked then and it works now.  I LOVE it.
