I have a wig that's already a light color but waaaaayyy to straight for me.  I want to give it a textured curly look because I'm in love with the color but haven't had the best luck getting the curl without leaching out the color.  I've ruined the color of 2 wigs trying....Once boiling and one just with a blow dryer on dampened hair with setting lotion.  I got the curls but the color just came off :'(  Any experience/advice with curling a colored wig on the best method without leaching the color away????

I still have curls that I did three months ago. I do not put my wig in the water though I put it in a strainer over the boiling water. I switch up my wigs though.
