nips and hood. i don't want to risk getting those areas infected. guess i'll just have to be happy with a new ear piercing until then

Despite popular belief, a reasonably healthy individual with good hygiene can heal multiple piercings without infection.
Clean your piercings the way you'd clean your body after excessive sweating and you'll be fine.

really? i was reading that nips are one of the most likely piercings to get infected and i am sccccary. lol. maybe i'll take the plunge. if i do, i need to get on it soon because i want things to be completely healed by summer.

Really. Any piercing, scratch, or scrape can get infected by anything ie, dirty sheets, unclean hands touching it, etc. It's all about bacteria making it's way into a wound. Hell, you can even give yourself staph. Infection may occasionally happen to a piercing, but is not a normal/ definite part of healing.
A word for summer, make sure your suit is double lined and has padding unless you want the world to know.
