Hi (<--- long time spectator of the boards). I'm recently going back to my natural hair, and I'm about 6 months in woot! But because I suck at doing my own hair I've decided to wear wigs and it's a bonus that it's a protective style too Smile

I've been recently thinking about trying half wigs too since my hair's grown out some more. If anybody does this please let me know!

Wigs are relatively new to me but they are fun lol

You dont have to use your hair for blending you can use head bands or hair scarfs to cover the top the wig.I hate blending but its up to you if you have natural hair you may want to try curly wigs or afro texture because natural hair blends best with those textures otherwise you might have to flat iron your hair in the front.

Very true with the headbands. For me I don't like the look oh headbands with my wigs.
I say if you have a certain texture of wig do a braid out or two strand twist out.
I use to wear afro wigs. If it was a half I would to braid outs or twist outs. I tried flat ironing my hair to blend with straight textures. DID NOT WORK.

I was thinking about flat ironing my hair lol. Well I'll probably be trying a natural hair wig in about 1-2 months. I just got Oakland Girl in the mail.

If there's any recommendations for good curly wigs that would be awesome.

Oakland girl does not require any blending that is full cap wig. But the curly wigs I like are OUTRE KEYA,MONICA,POLLY, hz 7055,new born free Kelly,hz 7047, and it's a wig penny those are just some suggestions. I have a lot wigs and I love the Curly ones the best because I am natural I have not had a perm in over a year. Good luck in your search try hair wig harlem, hair sisters, clair hair, miss wigs, and black hair spray just a few sites or try your local BSS that way you can try them on and see how they look if you not nervous about that.

You should take a look at the afro textured wigs thread:

Also, how about trying a full cap wig or a lace front wig.  I have Freetress Equal Mariah and love it (my hair's natural too).

what about braiding a couple rows in the front and sewing in some bangs...

Dose anyone ever do that? put a corn row or two in the front to sew in some bangs (to wear with a 3/4 wig)? Check this video out:
http://www.youtube.com/user/HairReviewer#p/u/9/yPC6m8hT1hE

Anyone have advice on sewing in bangs to blend with a 3/4 wig instead of blending your own bangs? Seems simple enough but can't think of where to start or end the braid.

I got my edges done in individuals and wear a half wig in the back.  So hence, I have braids in the front for about 2 inches but they are done REAL SMALL, and the wig in the back is a simple long style.  You just have to make sure your braids are human hair.
