Hi Guys,

So I know that blaching and relaxng your hair on the same day = fast track to damage and breakage. But...

I only have 6 days till my holiday, just took out my weave and I want to dye a few tracks - add some highlights, and do my leave out hair to match.

I only relaxed my leave-out about 4-5 weeks ago, so my 'genius' plan is to relax my regrowth very carefully (i.e) literally just the inch or hair closest to the root with minimal overlap on previously relaxed hair, And to add some highlights to the tips - ie only the lower half of my hair, so that there will be no direct double processing.

Has any one done this before?

Which order do you think would be better?

I'm guessing there will be some double processing because   when you rinse, the chemicals will go all over?

Thanks guys!

DON'T DO IT! Just leave your leave out it's natural color and try to blend.

It won't look like streaks if you do the tips anyways right?

I wouldn't take the risk.

You should at least wait 2 weeks before bleaching.

Remember, when you rinse, the relaxer runs down the full length of your hair.

as a color professional. i NEVER advise bleaching relaxed hair...whether its 6 days apart or 6 months apart! while your regrowth (the hair that has grown out and is not relaxed) may not damage when you apply bleach, but any hair that has previously been relaxed will instantly damage and continuously break off until you cut it off...trust me...ive had clients with irreversible damage!

THIS. When I was younger I had my hair relaxed and bleached the same day by an unprofessional hair stylist. My hair broke so much from thatErmm
