My hair was level 2 though I was blond as a baby. I only do my own hair because I am a retired stylist and do not trust anyone else on my hair. This took 2 months to achieve with High lift blondes in ash level 12. And YES the 2nd month when I passed the tint over the ends for the last 20 minutes, the tint DID lift the ends more
2 months later. But high lift tints have less pigment and a lot of the pigment from the tint had worn off during the 2 month wait.
I suggest you discuss this with a stylist who is a color specialist. This is sort of advanced coloring is far beyond the scope of this forum.
This was my hair color in February
and this was the color in late June
I only used level 12 ultra ash hair color every 2 months.... NO BLEACH. I did pass the color on the ends for the last 20 minutes of a 45 minute color process a few times. And the tint DID lighten the ends. It will not do that if the first tint's pigment is fresh or if there was a dark colored tint on the hair previously. But I always use tints level 10 or higher that do not contain much pigment in the first place.
I will NOT be passing the tint on the ends of the hair anymore bc I do not want the ends any lighter or damaged. I will only touch up my roots every 2 or 3 months from now on and deep condition like my life depends on it, moisturizing and sealing every night with no heat except for length checks
I use ONLY Miss Clairol 12 AA BV with double amount of 30 volume peroxide. So if I use one 2 ounce bottle I add 4 ounces of 30 volume peroxide and shake it up.
Please click THANKS above if you appreciate this post. I need some points please.
