To people who have or are dating interracially, have you had the feeling that people have automatically assume that you have sworn off black men?

No idea. But people automatically assumed I was a prostitute. It was short-lived. I doubt very much that  I would date outside of my race again.

We were the same age....
yeah, people kept staring, and one night we went to a club and were walking back, and a group of men said something that made me realise they thought i was prostituting ---it was after 3am, i dunno if thats why. I had on nothing trashy/skimpy --jeans and a tank-top and sandals, hair in a bun.

I cried.... I didn't say anything until we got back to the hotel (we were spending the weekend at a resort). I couldn't stop crying. I felt like they had punched me in the stomach. Horrible feeling Everywhere we went i/we kept getting stared down and analyzed. I had no idea people here had a big deal with a black woman with a non-black man.

I'm all for love.

But I subconciously low key side eyed friends that have married certain types of men, and I think its a little more so when its a certain type of white man. I mean these are beautiful, educated and accomplished black women that could have been with much better looking/kept up men but are walkin around with some scrubbish dirty looking white men.

But I don't need to understand cuz its not my life so meh. If they're happy then that's all that matters.

Sidenote: I've gotten the "You're gonna marry a white man" from my Caribbean family and its made me feel all types of ways. What the hell does that even mean? Is that a diss or a compliment or what???? I'm not even checking for white men like that.
