ngas in jail make me LOL.  i watch the MSNBC locked up marathons.


i hope that their message is materialized into real results.  educating these young men on their history and opening their eyes to the consequences they cause for the black community is good but as long as they don't have jobs or money, the black on black crime will persist.  the Oscar Grant protests felt good to participate in but guess what...ngas left the march and went right back to the corner.

So the consensus is that if you've been to jail you can't help the community when you get out?

Sooo let me get this straight...bishes complain that there are no black role models in our communities.
You have a group of black men who did time, got out and decided to band together to help the community and educate the people. And people steeeel complain.
At least the folks from prison have first hand accounts on how vicious clear people are lol

Nope. I think there are lots of ways those who have been incarcerated can help the community, but this bullsh*t isn't it.

They could be doing things that are far more tangible and helpful. For example, I think it's in chicago where there was a group who is out after school making sure kids get home safely.

If they really want to help the community, they need to be focusing on things to build it back up. Why not clean up the neighborhood? Paint over graffiti? Help a group of kids with homework? Go finish their own education?

I hope it works out for them if they actually do what they say. I've heard before of similar projects that ended up disbanding from the inside.
