T---a is my cousin's best friend, so I know her and she has been to some of our family events. I do not know Mama Dip. She was not in the restaurant the times that I went.

That was our home away from home when we were in undergrad -- like every other Tar Heel lol.

it's funny because my GFs kids are keeping the spot hot now. They are always talking about how good the food is.  I love it though that the business has remained thru the generations--the owners and the customers lol

Yes, that is great. definitely a sign of consistent service and respect for the customers. someone mentioned the 'Sandpiper' in Fayetteville to me yesterday and I started thinking about 'Fullers BBQ' in Lumberton & Fayetteville and I was hurting for some down home food, now this Mama Dip talk has me sufferingCry...LOL

ClapYesss...I was supposed to be in NC last week but decided not to go at the 11th hour. Kinda glad that I didnt go b/c i need to be counting calories instead of eating platters of food.

Home of chicken and waffles in Oakland, ca is good. It's in jack London square area, so if its late and you were on the bart, you can eat here. They are open until midnight. This place has great service, good food, they dont stiff yoi on drinks. Black owned, too bad I dined there with a coon .
