Has anyone one read that story in Essence about professional black men vacationing in Brazil so they can get with Brazilian women. Some of the men interviewed said they go several times a year and no longer date black women in the states because they are treated so well in Brazil. Heres an excerpt...

"They notice you the second you walk into the club. There's a ripple effect two dozen beautiful women competing to establish eye contact with you. Some coo compliments in their accented English. A caramel-colored sister in a short skirt sends a note saying you are the most handsome man she's seen all night. (It was probably written 20 minutes before you ever set foot in the joint, but that's beside the point.) You grab a table. The waiter flips open the menu to display the night's specials. Resting under his thumb is a four-pack of Viagra, which he offers for $6 a pill. You ignore the pills and order a caipirinha. Ten minutes later your table looks like the set of a music video six stunning women surround you, smiling at you. Welcome to Rio."

I think men want it easy. A lot of men dont want to work for women anymore. So anyplace where the women are dripping all over them, they find fabulous.

I read this, and I have known men who save for months to make the trip to Brazil. If that's what they want to do, it's on them. I can't see going all the way down to South America to get some action, but that's me.

it's always amazing to see educated black men make excuses for copying the preditory behavior of Western men toward women particularly women of color. they really believe that they have license to treat any woman like a pleasure toy, just because in their minds they have "payed the dues" to reap the benefits of economic dominance. love that sexist aroma...should be ashamed of themselves!Thumbs Down

My reaction was, dont Black professional men already have it made here in the states?? They can have their pick of women here. Young, fit, educated, attractive, 2 at a time, black, white, whatever. But still thats not good enough.

Some of the men in the article said that black women  he meets are gold diggers cuz off rip  they want to know what he does for a living and what kind of car he drives. True there are some gold diggers out there, but the majority of women just want to make sure the man meets a minimal standard of financial stability, that he can bring something to the table.

Vally Gyrl: I do agree and for men to say that they only meet gold diggers; I mean those girls aren't doing it for free.

Well you get what you pay for. These men are paying these women to treat them this way. They may as well get a hooker in the states. Also the aids/hiv rate in Brazil is astounding.

i read that article zahira.....CRAZY!!

I just don't understand men sometimes, especially "my own men".The dude in the article was talking about how the brazilian women fawn over him and are just willing to do anything to please him.

I felt like saying "LET ME TELL YOU WHY NE&^%"........she knows u're going to leave sooner or later, she doesn't have to spend the rest of her life starring at you, or providing for u. She's getting her money. I believe it is called Hustlin'... isn't it.... Stupid men!!!
