What about that preacher's daughter movie where the girl runs off with Tank and the musical play circus, she ends up pregnant and back in the church with her daddy.
*Sidenote, why is pregnancy such a big theme her.
Why can't our girls have movies like My Girl, Now and Then, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants??

I saw JAGOT IRT, over 20 yrs ago. From what I remembered, it was my 1st look into the ghetto & hood behavior. I did not like her fake laffs & dancing. I did not like that her friend said shooting soda in ur vagina will get rid of the baby or how she took the abortion money & went shopping instead. What a bitch. No wonder preggo women & baby mamas are the highest risk for violence & murders. |
Yes Chantell was a hoodrat on the slick.
Talmbout she was scared.
She must have thought the baby was gon disappear after that shopping spree
And the food and extra clothes thing was extra slick. My mom would have still caught on

Sorry (but not really) to bump this. Had it bookmarked.
Just wanted to say that Mississippi Damned just had a goon like myself and my friend BAWLING. Tears streaming like nothing I have ever experienced. It was probably the best movie I have ever seen, just perfect in every way.
How does Precious get the Oscar and this doesn't get any type of recognition? It was thoroughly bitter sweet and, as imperfect as each character was, they were flawless.
