I remember shopping in a Louis Vuitton store for my first LV bag after graduating high school. My boyfriend took me as a gift for graduating. When we got there, we were approached immediately to see if we needed assistance. We were shown around for about 20 minutes, and when I finally decided on a bag, the woman looked to us and ask "how are you paying for this?". My boyfriend replied "I'm putting it on my credit card". She replied "I'll need to see your id".
This bothered me because before the bish even walked to the back to grab the bag that I wanted and brought it to the counter, she was asking us how we were paying for it. What does it matter "how" we're paying for it until we get the counter and hand you over payment?
After she made that i.d. remark, before she turned to walk and get that bag, I stopped her right in her tracks and politely said "no thank you" and proceeded to leave the store. To this day, that woman probably has NO clue why I declined the purchase. I don't even care.
My boyfriend, now husband, thought I overreacted. Whatever. I ended up purchasing the bag elsewhere...but definitely wasn't giving that old winch, or that store a sale! Nope!
