Yes, both are delicious but don't expect it to taste like 'beef'

both are more gamey than lamb

i've found that using some type of acidic marinade (with vinegar, buttermilk, etc.) can remove some of that taste...

Instead of a pulled pork sandwich try a pulled deer sandwich.
Your taste buds will thank you.

I remember being so excited when my uncles got a good kill(my daddy didn't like hunting)

What does gamey mean?

I had a bison burger once...it was bomb. I didn't know what it was and felt guilty after eating it.

I have never tried either of them, but will love to because I know they are truly grass fed.

No hormones or GMO anything

Nope. My neighbor made deer burgers the other day and gave us some but I didn't try it even though the meat didn't look any different from a regular burger. My brother's greedy behind ended up eating my burger.

I had some venison. It was cooked like brisket and I made a sandwich out of a thin slice of it. I took around 3 bites of the sandwich and threw it away. I almost died from indigestion that night. Strong, gamey taste, heavy grease that could not be cooked out, never again.

Nope. I've been around it though with hunters.

oh, and I did buy some venison (raw) for my cats but they turned their noses up at it.
