Ok...

I just want to get a guy's perspective on how the below scenario makes sense (or doesn't) in their minds.

I was at the gym a few minutes ago and a guy approached me and asked me if he could give me his number. I politely thanked him but said "no thanks, I'm engaged."

His response: "so we can't be friends"?

Me: "No thanks, I have plenty of friends but thank you anyway."

Eventually he left me alone and went on about his way but it made me wonder:

If men are looking for a faithful woman, why disrespect another man's relationship by trying to get a woman to give you her number AFTER she tells you she's in a relationship/engaged/married? I doubt you would truly trust a woman who ditched/cheated on a man to be with you, and the whole "how you got 'em is how you lose 'em" thing would have to enter your mind at some point.

So, BHM men...what say you?

Additional info:

I'm not offended that he approached me, because I don't wear my engagement ring at the gym. I'm offended he persisted after I gave him a compelling reason for a "no".

Not a man, but i'm guessing he wasn't looking for any type of relationship. Probably just some ass.

Some men are dogs and act accordingly. LOL I've had the same conversation.  Reason they don't care about the "other guy" but you can bet they would be super controlling and not let YOU have any other "friends" while going out with them.

Exactly I don't get that mentality lol.

I was actually more annoyed that he was interrupting my gym time. Gym time for me is the only real me time I get most of the week where I'm not working or doing 10,000 other things. I don't like my 1.5 to 2hrs of solo time interrupted lol.
