I have a friend in the band and yes she did lip sync. She also first planned to sing but wanted to A capella but Obama said it would be disrespectful to NOT use the band. She didn't want to rehearse with the band and they found out at the last minute a recording would be used so the band basically had to lip sync as well.

Don't care that she lip synced, but it was a boring performance either way. I expected more "fireworks" from her. Oh well.

I wonder what Kelly did to prepare to sing in such frigid temps. Maybe Beyonce didn't have the time to prepare or couldn't prepare like Kelly did.

guuurrrll, you know Bey stans ain't trying to here that.. and if Bey did lip sync, then she should have did it over a better track because that was a mediocre performance.. I think Kelly's was better.
Anyways, I really don't care that she lip synced. Being that I was at the inarguration, I was more like "she need to hurry up so I can get out of this damn cold"  .

Everbody lip syncs some performances it's better than going out there knowing your voice isn't up to par and still trying to sing and sounding horrible...
