I'm having a lot of trouble finding how to dye the HAIR. Everything is about the knots and lace scalp part. I get that part and that's part 2.

But right now I REALLY need to dye this closure I bought. It's suppose to be a natural dark brown 1b but it's way too brown than what I was expecting. I assumed the off black when people say it's 1b. Not a 2 brown. I don't want it black but it's more of a 2 to where it's pretty close to whatever light brown is under a 2 and I want it off black.

But I'm scared of messing up the lace. I spent too much on the closure and it would look ridiculous considering how brown it is up against whatever color hair I'm getting. I just need it darker.

So how to dye the HAIR not the knots, scalp, etc. The actual hair on the closure darker without ruining the lace. Later I'll dye the knots but honestly, even if I don't I'd rather black knots than this ridiculous natural brown with way too many sunkissed gold strands throughout.

The closure is about this color:

It's okay but I really don't want to struggle finding hair to match this when I'm not completely satisfied with the shade. It would look nice on me because my own hair is very between a 1b and a 2 but I honestly think my natural hair being so in between dark/light is kind of dull and the darker, true 1b looks more lustrous/younger on me. So I want this girl darker.
