Well it turns out Tamika's shop was able to fit me in at very short notice. Although I did not wind up with her; it will be one of the junior stylists/. will report back when I'm done!
btw, I am not too familiar with Oakland...is anybody familiar with that neighborhood? I am driving someone else's car that day, what is the onstreet parking situation like?

just got back from a session with Kenya at "That's Hot" in Oakland.
Very highly recommended! Beautiful results, pleasant environment, and very reasonable prices.

Sorry for the delay in responding. My stylist uses a method which is called the "Christina" and she is one of the few stylists in the bay area that offers this. I have about 40% of my hair out in between my wefts and the rest is weaved down, but not braided down which is much better in opionion then it being braided because my weave is flat. I get my weave done every 3 months with this method. Others may get it done sooner depending on how fast your hair grows. I have only worn Christina weaves for over 10 years and this allows me to get longer wear out of it and my weave is flater than having your hair all braided down. If this explantion is still not clear, please feel free to call and have a consultation with my stylist and she can explain in more detail. You can also email her for faster response too. My stylist also makes customized wigs too! Stylist info below:

hi ladies, sorry to negelct this thread. sorry no pix. my cellpohne si acting weird..it takes pics alright but I cannot extract them to do anything useful with the images.
I was happy though. In fact, I just went today for another appointment at this same salon! there wasn't anything wrong with what I had, just decided I wanted a new look. I had in 18" auburn, now I am back to my #2 in a 14". I can honestly say I think this is the most convincing set of extensions I have ever had. (and believe me I have run the spectrum)
If you go there, be sure to ask for Kenya! She has done a beautiful reasonably-priced job on my hair twice now. Very nice person, and talented too. I'll be going back again !!!
