I have 2 favorites as you open the tub I'm burning lol..

1. Affirm- the newest one does WONDERS for straightening and retaining moisture, which is vital to prevent breakge... LOVE.

2. Mizani Butter Blend... This is probably the first relaxer I have ever used and been able to hold out the entire time for proper straightening without getting burned up. LOL LOVE.

Ok so I have a question for all of u, I haven't relaxed my hair since January and I'm a little afraid. I stopped flat ironing my hair in June and haven't used any heat on it. I have no want or wish to go natural. I just realized that I needed a break, but now I'm just wondering depending on my growth will I need 2 relaxers or just 1? How much of my hair should I relax? I haven't measured it because it have been wearing braids for the past 6 months (not straight through, got them redone every 4-6 weeks) I guess you could say. I just don't know what to expect.

it depends on what relaxer you use and how much comes in the jar..I just relaxed after ..8 months and my new growth was RIDICULOUS. I ended up buying 2 boxes but I used about 1 1/4 of the relaxer

I use the phyto ( hope I'm spelling it right) perm. I get it done at salon. It gets bone straight.

I just used African Pride relaxer. Hair straightened easily and isn't tangly. I do like the moisturizer conditioner. Gentle treatment is another good one my mom uses. That fabulaxer is the devil! Burned up my head horribly.
