I plan on gettin cornrows soon, small ones that form into two big ones going backward(think Iverson) and I wanted to use human hair maybe, so I wanted to know whats the best brand I should get or if you know of any good synthetics would be awesome. thanks!Smile

I don't know a lot about this but I would say Batik by Outre (synthetic).  I say this because I got a lace braids/weave combo and the braider added the synthetic hair to my own, and I was a little concerned b/c I heard that synthetic hair cornrowed under a weave would make your hair itch, but I've had no problems.  It also looks close to human hair.

Kanekelon  (any brand) ... always works for me... you can leave it straight, dip the ends it in hot water with curl rods for curly ends and its only $2 bucks a pack or 3 for $5

I've braided hair for several years (licensed) and I would definitely recommend Kanekalon hair. If you want to leave the ends loose or something like that, Batik would be a great option. But if your doing closed ends or just straight ends get regular kanekalon Jumbo braids. Burn or dip your ends in hot water and you're set.

What is the difference with the Batik if you want the ends out?

Batik is pre-curled so your don't have to do anything but braid and cut.
