I am overpaid for Atlanta, but underpaid if I lived in NYC or Seattle.

I wish.  Cry  The life of a crisis hotline operator is not a glamorous one. LOL  It's a good stepping stone though.  I'm overpaid in my housewife occupation though.  Approve

On my job I spend a some time not doing much because my workload is based on the clients.  When it's crazy (65% of the year) I am way underpaid. When it's slow I think my pay is fair.

Overworked and underpaid.
 
I'm a child care provider.
 
Roughly per child, I make $2.95 per hour if I break it down completely with hours in care per day
 
Take away from that the money I spend on groceries/toys
 
It's much less..
