Marci in Mountain View is the BOMB. She's 20 minutes or less from the palo alto area. The only qualm I had with her is that she's tardy but her skill definitely makes up for that and her prices are VERY reasonable.

Hey Keyboo!
I sent you a PM as well. Your hair looks great! Is this just a regular weave? Can I see some picture of other styles?
I am looking for someone to do a net weave with a closure piece. Can she do this? -- I'd love her info.
Thanks!!

Hey, I'm from Santa Clara and I love my stylist, she works in San Jose. I just got my install done by her a few days ago and I absolutely love it. She has been doing my weaves on and off for the last 5 years. I switched up stylists a bit when I lived in LA, but I always end up going back to her. Here are a few pics of her work on me.
These are from my latest install..
if you want to see more pics of a different install or if you want her contact info just pm me and I'll be happy to give it |

As you might have noticed, if you're on a super budget they got a $99 special sew in first timer rate. Also, their ratings on yelp.com are high. I'd look at some of their work, have pictures printed out and also installing tips. I.e. if I had to go to someone just because they were in my budget, come with pictures, you tube videos so you can, maybe not guide her but give her instruction on how you'd like her to sew/install before hand so it doesn't feel like you're being overbearing or a bitch: i.e. if you could fold the wefts, here's my braid pattern, part here, sew closure in backwards, sew around wefts, etc. Bring as many pic as you can too... But the best would be to either go to Esohe or see if someone on BHM can hook you up, they prob. know way more than anyone else...

I would not recommend Tamika @ That's Hot Hair. She is nice but a wack stylist. She is cheap but your weave will start unraveling asap. Your braids and tracks will show. She really needs to work on her skills. She cut chunks of my weft hair out b/c she had installed it to full instead of just removing a track. I guess that's what she calls thinning
I previously recommended the shop in this thread:
Someone then went to Kenya @ the same shop and reported good things. There was another stylist @ the time who is good but is no longer there.

I recommend Tasha George and Tai of the bliss salon in oakland their both tried and true and they know how to do some hair. I've had this sew in for a while now and it still looks great. Getting my hair redone on the 1st ill post pics
