Hey, I'm from Santa Clara and I love my stylist, she works in San Jose. I just got my install done by her a few days ago and I absolutely love it. She has been doing my weaves on and off for the last 5 years. I switched up stylists a bit when I lived in LA, but I always end up going back to her. Here are a few pics of her work on me.

As you might have noticed, if you're on a super budget they got a $99 special sew in first timer rate. Also, their ratings on yelp.com are high. I'd look at some of their work, have pictures printed out and also installing tips. I.e. if I had to go to someone just because they were in my budget, come with pictures, you tube videos so you can, maybe not guide her but give her instruction on how you'd like her to sew/install before hand so it doesn't feel like you're being overbearing or a bitch:
i.e. if you could fold the wefts, here's my braid pattern, part here, sew closure in backwards, sew around wefts, etc. Bring as many pic as you can too...
But the best would be to either go to Esohe or see if someone on BHM can hook you up, they prob. know way more than anyone else...

Thanks for the information! I'm particulary looking for a stylist around the san jose area or around palo alto (that's close to work). I really don't want to drive an hour to get my hair done. I found someone on yelp but she didn't follow thru on her end so I'm still looking. Thanks!

So far she's sewn in Wagmans, Nature Girl, Laniks Bellissimo and Paulines (LA) she also travels back and forth to do hair in LA and has weaved the Raiderettes. She is patient and does exactly what you ask.
