Topic: Bay Area (San Fran) Weaveologist?... Posted: Jan 29 2011 at 11:50pm |
Hey hey! Last June I relocated to the Bay Area, San Francisco to be exact, and for the life of me, I keep coming across horrible hair stylists. I'm too skurred to find someone on craigslist or sites like that, and I dont see many post about the Bay Area. Is there anyone in this location (San Francisco to Oakland etc) who knows of a weaveologist who KNOWS her ish when dealing with Virgin Indian (pricey) hair? Thankiiesss

You may want to ask a few LA stylists if they plan to do a hair tour in the Bay.

Hey there < ="utf-8"> RoCksTaRbaRbii - I'm in the SF Bay area and I've been going to Esohe (pronounced Ah-so-hay) at Rags 2 Riches in Oakland. She does everything from my perm, condition, color and net weave and I am one finicky so and so! So far she's sewn in Wagmans, Nature Girl, Laniks Bellissimo and Paulines (LA) she also travels back and forth to do hair in LA and has weaved the Raiderettes. She is patient and does exactly what you ask.

hey, im from san francisco.. staying in the east bay right now though. Anywho, when i used to get my hair done (ive self-install now) I used to drive to sacramento.. like you i was too scared to try someone on craigslist or without lots of reviews. Plus i always use a closure, and i was real new to weaves so i really needed someone who knew what they were doing.. Do you have a price range? cus last time i went to her (about a year ago) i believe she charged $250 (without closure, full weave) and 275 with closure.. but she knows what shes doing.. PM me if you'd like her info. But yea i agree with whoever said, check with LA stylists who tour.. what i really wanted to do was travel to LA cus there are so many weaveologists there..

oh okay. How far is sac town from san francisco do you know? I've been considering getting a closure, since I'm trying to go natural now so I'm having some blending issues now, would this be a good idea? Nah i dont really have a price range, as long as the person can do some huurr! lol. And yeah I would definitely be interested in her info. Thanks a lot!

I've also been on the search for someone with moderate prices.... in L.A. i can get it done for $100 at a salon and other services for super cheap, i know thats ridiculous but their are so many stylists out there (thats where im from) that good stylists have specials to keep their clientale, but i'm in Berkeley now for school..... i wouldn't be opposed to someone's house only thing is i wanna get a perimeter perm for this install, and i don't think my hair can handle a store bought relaxer so i just wanted to go full service.... please pm me stylists as well!
