Call me slow, but I am a little confused. If you're already estrogen dominant or have excess estrogen, and estrogen helps direct fat to the lower body what would be the purpose of counteracting this if that's where you want to gain weight/build?

UPDATE!!! I tried Chasteberry Vitex for a good 2 weeks & ended up taking it back cause it honestly didn't do squat for me. The Cinnamon water/tea didn't help either. I only tolerated drinking it for 3 days straight until i officially ended up quitting it (i honestly just could NOT bear the taste nor the smell anymore). Now i officially hate Cinnamon & the smell of Cinnamone because of it I ended up getting back on BC. And my PCOS symptoms INSTANTLY went away within 3 hours after taking it. I don't like the idea of my body relying on BC to stop my PCOS issues, but if i didn't do it sooner, i would've probably ended up getting a blood transfusion or dead right now But the good thing about being back on BC again, is that my cycles & hormones are regulated back to normal again. I'm just gonna have to do what i got to do & stick with them while some of my weight goes back down. So now, i'm officially ready to start achieving my body goals!

Since i currently have PCOS along w/high estrogen, low progesterone & high androgens, I went ahead and bought some Chasteberry Vitex today to regulate my hormones. I was really close to passing out from losing lots of blood through Menorrhagia (non-stop monthly cyles). Which is another side-effect of having PCOS. I've literally had ENOUGH of dealing PCOS effin up my hormones, the unexplained weight gain & giving me this annoying stomach pooch....just enough! I usually take BC to stop the problem, but i don't want to continue relying on synthetic hormones to temporarily cover up this problem again. So i'm going the herbal/natural way & just gonna stick with Vitex & Cinnamon Tea for now. The cinnamon will also help reduce my estrogen & bleeding. I'm going to give this 2-3 weeks for my hormones to get back to normal before i start my body goals. So excited!!

excess estrogen would make it hard to build muscle..it needs to be balanced out

I guess if anything, I would have excess androgens. I only check marked two but the thing is, I've ALWAYS had excess hair on my face and arms!!!!! I couldve been renamed monkey child in my elementary days!! I have side burns out of this world. It's very popular on my moms side of the family to be hairy. Lol. I have been eating a lot of carbs an sugar as of late and noticed that during the middle of my period, ill have very very slight crampage and that's it. Could I still be androgen excessive?

For the record...........everyones hormones change on a daily basis. You might be adrogen dominant one day and estrogen dominant the next. I asked for a hormone test from my gyno and she laughed and said how many days did I want to come in. Whatever I would have tested that day, would be different next week. It is all based on your cycle, what you eat, how much sleep you get, and how much you excersize. You can never truly "balance" your hormones for them to stay the same everyday.

Interesting. I didn't know that. Well I guess I can stop stressing over hormone balance now. Hah. Thanks for the information :)
