My 2 cents may not interest you, but I thought I would respond since I made a recent discovery re this.
I'm shocked but my hair responds to "baggying" alone , so I quit moisturizing everyday before the bag.
I would never think of using a comb on dry hair but I noticed I could actual put a comb through a section of my hair after a twistout & that w never happen before as my hair tends to be bone dry.

basically covering your hair ends with a plastic bay after you apply conditioner and oil. Sleep with it, wear a phony pony over it... Do whatever you like. keeps hair moisturized and healthy real well.

I baggy my whole head nightly, this has helped in moisture retention and I do not have to moisuturize night and day just before going to bead. I also cowash 2-3X a week.

My hair seem to love baggying. Whenever I'm at home, the shower cap is on.
