One of my cousins did something similar. I didn't talk to her for 12 years, and it would have been longer if I didn't run into her at the mall last month. I just didn't want to be petty, so I let it go. But I wont be talking to that bish no mo if I can help it.

When they meet and see you in person they can form a real opinion of you and get to know you-and they will see that the rumors were bull sh**t! honestly if a set of people will judge me based on hear say then I honestly am not missing a damn thing!

If the things they said are true of your past, then you just have to face up to them and roll with it. People change of course but it is difficult for people to know the new improved you. If they are lies then talk to the people you want to get closer to and tell them they can ask you anything and lay it all out on the table. The good, the bad and horrible. Meanwhile, keep away from those you feel are hurting your reputation. Saying anything to them will just make them more interested. Don't feed those trolls.

Cut her off, I'm cruel but her having children wouldn't mean anything to me. No offense but if your fam was smart they would be wondering where she got her info from and coming to you to see of the mess is true. If they choose to believe her over what you have to say then what can you really do? You live in the US though, your cousin needs a life
