I have just bee oiling and cowashing, have not really used my powders at all. But, I am definitely going to do a moisture mask with fenugreek powder & brahmi.

My hair has grown so much and I a becoming extremely lazy because of all the extra time it takes to wash andetangle. My goal is to be bsl by June 2011 , so I need to get my butt in gear.

I did henna today, followed by a 1 hr DC with creme of nature CON mixed with hibiscus/brahmi/burdock tea. My hair is sooooo soft and silky feeling, I will ALWAYS use these teas in my DC from now on.

i mainly use the oils as an addition to my conditioners and also to pre poo.

oh i see. they pretty much get rinsed out. good. im going to start doing this when i get enough money for products. b.r.o.k.e. student here.

*continues to lurk*

one suggestion i can make that is a money saver....buy olive oil at the grocery store.  it's $8-10 bucks and because you mix it into your conditioner, it stretches the conditioner AND the bottle lasts forever.

i use olive oil on my skin in my lotion, in my conditioners and on my face in my moisturizer.  a 16oz. bottle lasts me two months.  that's $4 bucks a month.  the olive oil has been the most beneficial product i have used.

vatika oil is cheap too if you get it at an indian grocery store.  it's like $5.  i have the same bottle i started with in january of the challenge since i only it in my hair prods as a mix in.  i use the olive oil much more.

Well ladies. We have been slacking with the posts. Goodness!

I'm still oiling under the weave. Vatika and olive oil are staples for me.

My other staple is amla for cleansing. Committing to trying Ayurveda for a year has taught me alot.

I takedown the weave Wednesday. So i will post my end of year growth updates before Christmas.

My goal for next year is mid back. I'm already massaging and praying. Lol!

Anybody else around here got anything to add???? Where my chicas at?! :)

Just lurking. I'm very interested in ayurvedic powder and have recently purchase some. After I bought my aritha and shikakai I heard about the recall. I just wanted to remind everyone when buying these 2 powders to check before purchasing. Here's the info I found:

This recall involves Hesh Shikakai powder, sold in a 100g yellow box with the picture of a long and dark-haired woman on the front of the box. The recalled product can be identified the Batch number 836 and the UPC 8901701105105

This recall involves Hesh Aritha Powder, sold in 100g yellow and orange boxes. The recalled product can be identified by UPC 8901701104108. All lots are affected by this recall

Will this challenge be continued for 2011? If so count me in!!!

HTH!
