So basically, I'm going to attempt to make a u part wig for the first time, which hopefully won't be a disaster. Right now I have a versatile sew in so I can put my hair up in a high ponytail. Can I achieve the same thing with a wig and leave my hair out to put it in a high ponytail? What sort of wig cap would I need? If guys know of any helpful videos that would be great! Also could I see it down to flat twists or would I have to corn row my hair?

You being able to put in in a ponytail like your weave depends on the leave-out.
You could theoretically sew it to your twists, but I think they would move around more and be less secure than sewing it down to corn rows
Here is a video I watched about that
Good luck! - - (she sews this one down to her cornrows)
