I'm currently 7 months post relaxer. I'm wearing sew ins and just super stretching I guess. I know I won't go natural but I just needed to grow out my bob with with less manipulation from my fingers (my fingers STAY in my hair).

When I take the sew ins down my new growth is...fierce. I didn't think my hair could go because: 1. heredity. As we age the women in my family get serious thinning. My edges have always been thin so I'm working to beat the family odds and 2. like I said my fingers STAY in my hair when it's relaxed. I'm combing, brushing, finger combing, twirling. I just...play with my hair.

But it finally started growing like honest to God crazy with consistent products and I just added JBCO.

But at 7 month post am I seeing my natural pattern or would the relaxed ends have to be chopped.

When wet and soaked with conditioner my hair looks like this sort of:

Combed out it's an afro but very light. But the whole ABCs 1234 types is confusing. What could I do to find out? I'm just curious. I don't plan on ever being natural but for the stretching (I'm hoping to get a year and hopefully my hair will be shoulder length again).

I would say if you have relaxed ends. A year is a good point. At 7 months you only have about 3-4 inches of growth. The straight ends make it hard for the natural hair to do it's thing in my opinion

IMO it's a good representation of what your natural pattern would look like, but not spot on bc your relaxed ends kinda weigh down your hair.
