I think it was 18/19. In Jamaica you get the learner's permit at 17 but can only drive with a driver's licence holder in the front beside you, any time of day or night though. I learned to drive on a stick shift 4000kgs motor truck BOOYAH!!!Star
I'm a shotta driver, all yardies are. Supposedly I drive like a taximan. I even have a bench warrant out for nonpayment of traffic tickets *puffs up chest*LOL

id never drive in Jamaica.
everytime I'm in a car/bus/ or any moving vehicle-- I see my life flash before my eyes. lol

no respect for speed limits.
edges of cliffs.

oh and forget about me  that one time in a bus.

nycd It isnt for the faint of heart btwn livestock, potholes, taximen and my enemy the Jamaican Pedestrian there's way too many distractions on the road. But I'll drive you and i wont even ask for gas money or ask for your farin trinkets/cosmetics. I've recently decided I'm too old to be using Jamaican public transport...the illegal ones at least no sireeee i like my life.
Driving isnt for those who havent learned to drive here my sister NEVER makes my BIL drive they always argue about it LOLOLOL.

I was 20.  I had a horrible, evil driver's ed teacher who was just a bully at heart.  Spooked me so bad that I didn't bother with driving until I went to school out of state.
