How new is the relationship and about how much you need? Is it for something ya need or something ya want?

Look ... if he is THAT signifigant .. yáll would be MARRIED so then you don't have to go begging nor does he have to 'offer'. Duh!

Otherwise... it'a veiled form of prostitution. Don't bring MONEY into a non-married relationship.

(I get so sick of these weak woman taking money from men ....)

when I was a younger I always wanted to pay half/pay my own way

I thought was what my parents did, but I had no idea that was not how they did it until a few years ago

so for me, paying my share was something I was happy to do

how new? like 6 months new? or like 6 weeks new? I mean you don't ask, you don't get. So see what happens.  His reaction could also tell you a lot about him.

If it's a new relationship and he's a decent guy .. he will think you are trying use him and he will dump you. If he's not so nice, he will try to CONTROL you with his money. In that case RUN!

Stop taking from men ... ask your family for help.

I don't think I've ever felt that way.

I did used to have some silly notion that a ring wasn't important. I never wanted to get married but always said if I did  marry, I wouldn't  care about a ring. I was around 15. Funny story, my niece recently said the same thing about not wanting a ring when she gets married (18 yr old). I just LOL'ed \and told her I used to say the same thing as I showed her my finger LOL

eta: I don't think a ring is important to the marriage but it's important to me to have a pretty one.
