I can understand the intention but I don't like the approach. BC needs to be a part of several discussions, not enforced like a mandate especially with rebellious teenagers.
I see where she is coming from though. Teen pregnancy is often a burden for families, especially the teen's parents. I know that my life would be very different if I was a teen mom and not for the best either. I would do whatever I could to avoid that for my children.

Maybe it'll just be part of the whole first pap smear package. So many women f*ck up with bc. Either it makes them sick, causes weight gain, or they can't remember to take it/replace it. I can just legitimately frame it as a "what works best for you" trial run before actually needing it.

right. lets talk about "bad parenting".... what is that? cause clearly its one of those general terms know one cares to explain.

I'd be here all day. But just like you can be a bad friend, a bad employee, you can be a bad parent, a terrible role model. This is an aspect of bad parenting, imo. I don't even know how you even think to do something like that to the children YOU raise.

I kinda agree with her. I mean...too many people put responsibility on teenagers including leaving it up to them to approach you when they start having sex. Who does that? Well...at least I didn't and none of my friends did. It was never said whether or not she taught them about the importance on condoms and sexual health, but I definitely think that needs to be covered as well.

I would need to be on my fainting couch to make that decision.

I don't see the issue. A lot of these teen moms didn't feel they needed to use condoms either.

It's an actual thing?
I feel like this is something I need in my house, now.
