In elementary school, our janitor would talk to himself and try to scare us in the stairwell...

While I understand the concept, It scares me to think that some nutjob will now apply for a janitor position. This could lure all the wrong types of people.

They should just have armed security officers. It would be to expensive to have actual police.
I still think this is mostly for show though. School shooting don't often happen, statistically. The safest place for a child to be is still at school and you just can't prevent some things.

They should have officers already geared towards being school officers in more areas though. All the schools in my hometown have atleast one or two police officers there as school resource officers so if it costs a little more for their budget then so be it. I didn't think security officers were allowed to be armed anyway.

we had security guards too...i wouldn't have trusted them with weapons. they let us come back from lunch late if we brought them burger king. i don't think this will end well.

Well this mean the Mr. Larry's, Mr. Otis', and Ms. Shirley's worldwide are going to have to undergo serious screenings before snagging a schoolhouse janitor job. If its a deterent, why not? I just hope it doesnt backfire.

im just worried that all the idle time between school shootings is going to result in some students being shot for unruly behavior or something. we don't need any officer mehserle's or zimmerman's hired.
