How far would you go to save money? I am currently seeing a vocal coach who has a great price but it I have to catch 3 buses to get there and 3 buses to come home. I don't want to waste money seeing a close vocal coach who is more expensive. What's the most desperate thing you've done to save some cash? How far is too far to take cheapness?

id consider that frugal not cheap, since you have an understandable/rational reason albeit the inconvenience of bus hopping

I will go an extra 15 min for the cheaper deal in a store but then ill think about transit time and gas and it kind of evens out in some cases. It really depends on what you think your time is worth.

Damn, you're dedicated. Kudos, cuz some folks wouldn't take three buses to get to work .

In college, I used to ride back home to Miami with people I couldn't even stand so that I would only have to chip in $20-30 on gas as opposed to $200-400 for a plane ticket.

I'd pop my sleeping pills so I could sleep the whole way there and back and not have to interact .

I paid extra for a single dorm room just so I wouldn't have to deal with people

really cheap people bother me in most cases 

although one time i did consider getting a fam member in NYC to order a bag for me to avoid having to pay CA taxes..
