are microlinks a good choice?

That sucks, the stylist was too blame. Many people don't know how to put them in right, just like some people don't know how to do a weave. The links should not feel tight, in fact when done you should not feel them. I am getting mine done right now and I can't even tell I have extensions in my hair. Some stylist put them to close to the scalp which will make them stick out and cause undo stress on the hair. Here is a pic of my install, as you can see there is some space between my scalp and link.

I put mine in by myself when i couldnt find somebody to braid me up for a sew in. I got tired of waiting on people to get my hair done 

Beginning from start to end it only took me 3 hours, and thats normally how long my installs take to do from braid to style. I think having never even seen the process done other than in youtube videos I did it pretty fast.

Alot of people said to me before hand " dont do them on your own" " youll cut your hair off" but its not rocket science. You get a loop , put it around some hair , stick the i tip through and clamp it down.  Maybe its because im used to (trying to) braid my own hair but it really wasn't that difficult.

How long can these last??
