such as a bakery, cupcake shop or food truck or know someone who does
I have an idea to start a business with a particular type of food (not a cupcake ) to sell and it is very big business in the U.S and across Canada but where I live there a hardly any specialty shops in this type of food . I don't have any restaurant and I have never worked in the food business and I need advice on what to do and how do I get started. I thinking about selling this type of food product in a food truck or online.

I don't but maybe this will help.

You'll probably want to research cottage laws...I think that's what they're called. They allow you to sell food on a small scale here in the US without a professional kitchen I think.

Serv Safe food handling and management certificate might be helpful.

And check out reddit.com/r/foodtrucks to start researching.

I don't know about Canada but in the US, lost of small business programs will help with those wanting to start a food truck business because it very popular. heck, the last apartment complex I stayed at used to have "food truck Fridays" where food trucks would post up between 3-7pm on Fridays...
