Some people really are in need and turn to thrift stores. So the popularity of the re-wear/vintage movement since the early 2000s has been rubbing people in actual need the wrong way.

not saying u guys didn't look cute but they probably thought u could go to a boutique or vintage shop also.
the difference between thrift store & vintage?
thrift store is cheaper.
vintage store u pay more.  same item

try it, buy something from a thift store give it to a consignment store. ( they're usually 60-40)
I'm sure you'll  make more than what u paid at the thrift store after they get their cut.
just saying...... dress down to avoid that when u go to places like that.

Good point,
definitely know the woman pushing the cart wasnt, she was a little chunky.

the first black woman who rolled her eyes was shorter and a few sizes bigger...

all the other women rolling their eyes at me were small but they were older than me too.
Like mid 30s and 40s....
So i doubt we would be wearing the same things

Dont let that ruin your thrifting experience just keep it moving and tune them out. Pay attention to the clothes not the people.  If you dont then you could be missing some great finds.  Im in my own zone when I shop so others are a non-mofo factor. When I leave the store with my big bags Im all smiles Big smile

My thrift store is a pretty nice one to go to. People are friendly and what not. But on Mondays, which is our 50% off day, its no joke. Thousands of mexicans will come out of nowhere, all lined up and ready at 8:00  to LITERALLY run in that store and grab what they can. It is ABSOLUTELY crazy, people trampling and elbowing eachother like its designer clothes. I know it's a good deal, put got damn. One lady got seriously hurt because of people rushing to get in the building, and nobody stopped to help her. They didn't even look back. But she should've known what happens on monday.Unhappy

Don't let them ruin your shopping experience. Put on your itunes and get to shopping.
