I think I might join the fold.  Trying to look presentable is becoming impossible with this humidity and I may give in.

I stopped getting relaxers last August and just decided in March to get kinky twists before my big chop in August. I have had them since then and they are awesome! people love them and its a great protective style! But I'm so afraid of doing the chop haha! But I also can't wait.

For those of you doing long/thick braids, watch out for the weight. I have a patch in the front that is thin now and I am always SUPER careful not to braid too tight. I guess the weight of the braid was too much.

I wish I could braid all this up, but I just dont have 2 days patience to do it,nor the neck strength but big ups to everyone else braiding it up this summer, it has been too hot out but heres a pic from when i did have my hair braided this winter. for some reason i just feel like braids weigh me down alot, but at the same time this was done with synthetic jumbo braiding hair

right now, i just have mini braids that i created without extensions. its been around a week since i had them in and i plan on keeping them in for 3 more weeks (hopefully?). in the summertime it is so hard for me to wear extensions just for the fact that it just be entirely too hot for them so i save them for winter/fall time. i plan on doing yarn havana twists in the fall/winter time. heres a link for the tutorial if you guys are interested:

I got to month two and everytime I plan to take them out, a stranger compliments me then I think "ahhhh I can hold on another week or so."

They don't look horrid, but I just like my braids/twists to look nice and crisp.

I don't think I'll get to 3 months though.
