I don't know any Africans who celebrate it but im pretty sure they get a good laugh at black americans who do.

I used to celebrate Kwanzaa tough back in the 80s and early 90s. It's a made-up holiday with a great deal of flaws, naturally, but I do think that it serves a purpose within the Black American community.
 
It serves no purpose for Africans though.
