Remember learning about it in primary school.
Some of the teachers celebrated it .

It was included in the holiday decorations and festivities at school.

I've personally never celebrated it though but I know about and it's celebrating something I care about and is revelant to me.

i agree sang and patti...

i just dont get ppl and their faulty ass reasoning and or complaining.

In college-- i made someone cry b/c they stood their bold ass African American ass up..in an Honors African american class at a HBCU and said " why'd they give us the shortest month for black history month?"

when i say i tore into that ass-- I swear that girl  probably never uttered those words out her mouth again"

The worst offender I've ran into was this African guy.
Me and him were " talking" and were getting close.
But then we started having deeper convos.

Man he had so much white praise bursting from his heart and talked about the pros of slavery and how I just don't see the silver lining?

It blew my mind .
Had to leave that 'lone.

but i was on this african board the other day discussing the ramifications of colonisation etc etc .. and i wanted to punch my computer and snatch a few collars
