I would like some closet decorating ideas. Right now I have an ottoman, a sitting chair, and two dressers in the closet, but it isn't tying together. I spent the past few days arranging and re-arranging - I think I need a mirror in there, but there is a mirror in the hallway leading to the closet...
I also want to build UP - like add some more shelves and maybe get rid of the island to have a dance floor (don't act like you all don't dance whilst getting dressed ).
Goals for this week are to finish the built-in shoe rack and figure out how to cat-proof the closet space.

they are. you should get them serviced at least once a year. but nothing beats a crackling fire... |
I had a fireplace at my old place - the heater broke one year during the winter (this was up north), and I had to use the fireplace. After having been involved in a house fire once, let's just say that I got NO sleep. Every little crackle and pop my eyes FLEW open and I was ready with the fire extinguisher LOL! It was lovely and really warm...but my paranoia made me freeze until the new heater was installed .

My dad's old house had a library. I was too young to realize its importance - there were tens of thousands of books and every single floor to ceiling shelf was full. I remember the smell - it was like leather and paper. I wonder what happened to all those books..
