I think she looked better in Bone Collector with Denzel. She had more meat and her hair color better suited her.  White children learn to treat blacks better when they stop with the privilege and feigning ignorance.

Her face was not what was up in that movie. It was one of her worst as far as looks go. She was thicker in Tomb Raider (part one) as well and her face looked off in that one too.

First of all, most people really miss the mark when understanding the results of the doll experiment.

Children are not impacted by the dolls they choose to play with; It's the CHOICE of what color doll they chose which demonstrates the impact that race has already made in their young lives (i.e. the doll is not the image, it is the mirror).

Secondly, no study has been conducted on the children that have chosen to play with the White doll as a child. The assumption is that their preference remains White well-in to adulthood. I know this to be untrue as in my own case.

I (one of the most race-conscious people I know) almost exclusively wanted White dolls as a child because I regarded them as "the real deal" whereas the Black doll seemed to be made as an after-thought (at least that's what the commercials and the marketing made it seem like) and I didn't want that. My sister wanted Black dolls exclusively as a child. The irony is, throughout middle-school, high-school and even well into College she has been regarded by my family as "White-washed" because of the men she was (is) attracted to and the people she hung out with, etc... Whereas, by time middle school came, I had forgot White people even existed until my racial awakening in College.

Imo, people put too much on these doll experiments and not enough on the experiences that shape young Blacks thereafter.

if that's what the child want's then it is what it is.  It's usually grown folks who make surface sh*t deeper than it is.   What i'm gone praise Angie for?  she bought her child a doll.  that is all.
