I should have taken pictures but this has gotten me the best results in a long time. I have very thick hair and it takes a long time to get it pressed. I get lazy after an hour so this made it easier to do. The first time I did the amino acid thing was the Cherry Lola method just to loosen my curls. This time I pressed/flat ironed and I am happy with the results. I notice also my hair doesn't revert after a few days like it does when I just used pressing creams.

Amino acids? Is it some type of conditioner or a liquid type of thing like Biosilk or CHI?

Embarrassed I could not figure out what this was until I did a bing.  I will give it a try.  Maybe I should do this before I go get my press/blow dry and curl on Friday.

eta: Op I have been reading this post all week and just did a bing today to find out exactly what amino acid is and checked out amazon for bragg amino acid.  Wow!

 Now I know.
Thanks

Did you do the Braggs Liquid Amino seasoning?

I'm not sure if that's the same product you were referring too.

Thanks for sharing your experiences! I'm really excited to hear more and try this out myself.

Braggs is recommended but if you live in an area without, amino acids from a health food store is also ok to use. That is what I used.

This is very interesting. Will using straight Silk Amino Acid on your hair work the same way? I had a bottle from lotion crafter before but I gave it away because I did'nt really know how to use it.

I've only done it twice. Once just washed and let my hair air dry. The second time was pressing. I would not do it more than once every three weeks. It can be really drying to hair.
