Hello. AmberColour hereI'll skip the introductions and get to the point. This thread will be for my hair journey to meet my hair goal(s)
I decided to make one of "these" hair journal threads, too. I just thought the idea was so cute. Follow along and make posts if you'd like. Just keep it positive please.

I had a setback!Thursday, January 10th. So, I went to get my hair in kinky twists for a "protective" style.. She was just way too rough with my hair. :/ So not worth it, and it will probably deter me from going anywhere to get styled/anything else. Hmm. Anyways it will not stop me from taking care of my hair or discourage me from my HHJ. ---/---

I have added MSM to part of my vitamin intake.Start: Jan, 13th (1,000mg)
Along with HSN Spring Valley Start: Jan, 2nd
I would like to use them for the whole year, but for now my aim is just for 3 months. :)

What's your hair regiment? And how long [stretched] is your hair?

^My hair is not long. The twafro most recent pic is what it looked like before I got twists. Not sure what state it is in now. :/ So maybe about 2.5-3 inches at the longest
As for my regimen..
I just wash my hair often, but not everyday. I cowash on days I don't wash. I use carefreecurl as a moisturizer, shea butter to seal, and oil (Africa's best or Jojoba oil) on top for shine. And I cover my hair at night after I put a little Coconut oil on. I use a sulfur oil mix sometimes, but I'm not currently using it.

My current hair goal is 6 inches before August, which would be 1 year of growth. That is probably when I will trim my hair for the first time. I think I can do it even with the setback.

Love the hair pics, the cut on the first one looks great on you (and the nail polish too ) Sorry for your setback, but you've set goals instead of throwing in the towel which is a good thing. Good luck on your journey!

Have you tried doing Kinky Twists yourself? I know braiders can be rough, so from now on I pretty much do my own installs whether it's flw's, weaves or twists.
ETA: in terms of braid/twist extensions, depending on the size you do them they're super easy and fairly quick. :)

@Ritle, TY! Love your hair girl! :)@Modelb82, I would love to, but my hair is just not long enough for me to right now. Maybe when I get 2 or 3 more inches I'll be able. >>>>>> I would love to be able to use oil on my scalp, but the parts are too small. So, I'm going to make a spray mix from my sulfur oil that I'll use every 2-3 days. >>>>>> Just some hairspo! LOVE HER HAIR And I think she said she's 4b-ish! Lawd!!! Dat hair
