My hair is kind of short (between ear and neck length) and I have bangs. I usually blow out and flat iron my hair and then wrap it nightly but years of wrapping my relaxed hair and now wrapping my straightened natural hair seem to have thinned out the left side of my hair. Is there anything else I can do so that I can just get up and comb it out without having to use heat, esp on the bangs? Everytime I use my sponge rollers it winds up super curly and I want to wear it straight. Thanks in advance!

I'm not really sure on the bangs but try pincurls. I use pincurls instead of wraping sometimes. The bigger the pincurl the bigger the curl and vice versa. Doing pincurls help keep the curls and the bounce in my hair.

you could do the rollers over night then as soon as you get up, wrap it and tie it for an hour or so... when u take it down u should have a flatter yet bouncy look... that way u dnt have to have wrapped all night

try using wave rollers.  They are oblong shapped little rollers that look like pillows.  Goody and Scunccii make them.  Goody's version is wrapped in satin.  They are flat and they make a soft curl instead of the circular rollers.

Also try heated rollers you can leave them in a shorter time to make softer curls.  Conair has a nice spiral set and you can use it to just curl the ends if you like.

Lastly you can try pulling all your hair to the top of your head in a high pony tail before going to bed.  The ends should still be curly but the top will have a loose wave.

Try the sponge rollers. I just bought a 48 count at CVS by Conair (it was $11.59, but I could have gotten it cheaper from the bss) and the sleep wasn't bad at all! Thumbs%20Up

UPDATE: USE SATIN ROLLERS. SPONGE ROLLERS TEND TO SOAK UP MOISTUREUnhappy
