I gave away my fantasia IC ale vera gel because I decided I should just use pure aloe vera for my relaxed hair. However, all I saw in the store was liquid aloe vera and the "100% aloe vera" gels were for sunburn and had bad ingredients added to them!

How am I ever going to get to use pure aloe vera as a hair gel? Is it not naturally a solid or do I have to boil it or something?

Should I just give up and go buy some more Fantasia IC Ale vera gel? I really wanted to use more natural products!

As soon as you find out, let me know! I thought about that too! I was thinking maybe add some honey to it. You think that would add a more gel texture to it?

Well I dunno bout using honey coz it sounds sticky/messy...I would dilute it with water/carrier oil.

Well, today I bought some Fruit of the Earth Aloe vera gel and used it to do twists on my relaxed hair.

Yep, that's right, TWISTS ON RELAXED HAIR! Never thought it was possible but it was with this aloe vera stuff. Wink

My relaxed hair is slightly underprocessed so maybe that is why the twists held better but them twists looked good. I LOVE aloe vera gel and am adding it as a staple.  It gave me a medium hold, shine and it felt nice on my scalp too!

Next time I want to try Aloe Vera Gel for one of my roller sets as a "setting lotion". LOL

wow that sounds like it will be very sticky and i dont know how fast it'll dry so that if it touches anything like a car seat or shirt it might wet it or leave a stain
