I've never been a big RiRi fan mainly
because I feel like she sings like she's tired, and every time I see a
live performance of her, it feels like if she could be anywhere but on
the stage, she would be. Anywho re: her and Chris, I felt bad for her
when he beat her up because regardless of how she may have acted in the
moment, she didn't deserve to get beat down like that.
But now
that she's cozying up to him again and acting irritated that people are
giving her side eyes for it, I can only think "girl bye". Because he
still shows poor judgement. And for the record, on her Diane Sawyer
interview after their first incident, she did say that part of the
reason she left him was because she knew that there were tons of young
girls looking up to her and she didn't want to give the impression that
being with a woman beater was a good thing.
So she's
hypocritical. And even if she's not concerned about her image and role
model status, she should be concerned for her own safety. Ri & Chris
is like a junkie on a bad drug habit. SMH at the whole thing.

so why do so many chicks hate Rihanna? is it all about Chris Brown? to me, it says a lot about her character that she's always surrounded by her girlfriends and is really close with Katy Perry when they're in competition with one another professionally. |
It's about her being foreign. An "islander". I've come to understand that is the main reason people blamed her when the beatdown story broke. |

Rih is harmless. She's perfect for todays's music landscape. She's an artist without art . She just stands there and sings what she's told . She's lid of greatness or anything of note but she'll do
I didn't know she was hated though . I thought that tide had turned. Ppl seem to like her

Mashonda: ‘[Alicia Keys'] JET Interview Added Insult To Injury’Wed, Nov 21 2012 by Lani_Bitchie | Filed Under: Celebrities Uh Oh! The can of worms have been reopened. Last week, snippets of Alicia Keys’ interview with JET made it’s way on the internet where she denied any involvement in the demise of Swizz Beatz’s marriage to his ex-wife MaShonda. She told the publication: …[They] were apart for some time before we ever got together…that doesn’t matter to those who take pleasure in trying to knock others down…there’s no need to fight what’s not true.
Of course, MaShonda felt a certain way about the interview and decided to set the record straight. She recently sat down with Global Grind for a brief interview where she discussed how she felt about Alicia’s comments. She also revealed that she’s been through therapy to help her get over her broken marriage and that she’s not as bothered by the entire situation or the subliminal shots as she once was. Read a few excerpts below: On how she felt when she first read Alicia Key’s interview with JET Magazine Not much surprises me anymore when it comes to this situation. I truly thought that everyone’s priority was the well being of the children involved. I don’t see the sense in throwing oil on a fire, it just takes us back to point A. The Jet interview just added insult to injury. I can’t figure out how this makes us better. How is it a positive, humanitarian gesture? But artists must protect their reputation and I get that. In the interview Alicia Keys says “…[They] were apart for some time before we ever got together…that doesn’t matter to those who take pleasure in trying to knock others down…there’s no need to fight what’s not true…” Did you feel like this was a indirect stab at your open letter? There have been many stabs and shots taken, thankfully they don’t bother me the way they used to. I’ve never lied about one thing involving the demise of my marriage. No, we were not “apart” or separated, and that’s just a fact that can be proven in many ways. Blessings have a way of disguising themselves. This situation has helped me to understand life and what really matters. On how she dealt with the divorce There is a level of humiliation and criticism that the average person wouldn’t be able to conceive, it really altered my life, but gave me a super thick skin. It’s been a rollercoaster ride. I’ve lost weight, gained weight, lost some hair and almost lost hope and mental focus. For months I saw a therapist because I needed someone to assist me in putting the pieces back together. There was a lot of stress and pain, it’s been challenging. I’ve found ways to cope and not get consumed in a dark space. You have to take care of yourself and move forward. In my case, I have a child and live for him. I have a purpose and I won’t give up on it.
