@ sweet.. I dont wear any hair accessories...ethnic or not. my hair is always done 2 ways.. either a bun or down and curled..lol
I dont really know if i think any kinds of hair accessories are professional (at least for my job)

IMO they're not politically charged. But cowrie shells especially I OD'ed on as a child. So, I have no interest in wearing them now. That and those sea shell bracelets and necklaces I used to buy when we went to Florida or the islands.

These are adorbs. Are they 14K? If not are they hypoallergenic. I have sensitive skin too. I learned the hard way as a child buying the cheap stuff from Claire's and breaking out a few weeks later. Confused

How about cowrie shell earrings or some such? Is that unprofessional?
