I don't even give men my number (but I don't do that now anyway because I'm in a relationship) because them fools like to save your number for years, and then text or call out of the blue. It's a pet peeve of mine. If I was dating I'd be giving out my hookt pin, so them fools can't call me. I'd probably have a Magic Jack number too, specially for dating people. Yeah I don't like to be reachable. I like it to seem like I fell off the planet to the people I've dated when it doesn't work out.

I don't think you have to worry about percentages, since you really only need one really awesome pick and if you're so minded a few great alternates

Guys my age (20's) don't even believe in going on actual dates most of the time, hence the pessimism.

Sad to say, it's not.

I'm 26. The mindsets of black dudes my age mirror the lyrics of the songs/artists that were popular from the time they hit puberty (so like 1999) until now. And this is for all types (from hood dudes with no jobs/ambitions and a criminal record to college/grad school educated dudes who are typically considered a "catch").

Well there are about 7,059,508,314 in the world. But only 315,158,095 live in the US realistically since I don’t plan on leaving the country or doing long distance relationships. It’s also important to factor in the 1.8 million people a year who immigrated to the US in 2012. This rate of immigration to the US is projected to lessen every year but not significantly. I will estimate a 1.57% reduction this year (statistics taken from the census bureau). An estimated 335,000 will emigrate. This means that there will be 317,634,095 in the US in 2013.

51.3% are male and 21.6 million are college aged. That equals about  11 million. An estimated  11% are in a relationship that is either a marriage or will turn into a marriage. And only 11% of the remaining people live in the DC metro area which leaves about 1.07 million men that qualify. According to cracked.com only 1% of the men in my age range are douchebags.. But I’d like to combine douchebag with racist, crazy, mean, has aids which would eliminate roughly 68% of them.  That leaves about 669,000 men.  About 40% of those men will cheat. Finally, on average, from the men I meet that fit all the above criteria, I will have chemistry with roughly 1/5 of them which brings it down to about 25,676.

So 25,676/7,059,508,314 is .03% But that’s just in 2013.Big smile

hmm...this is depressing because I am a black woman who preferred to date black men.

However when I was single the majority of black men I met were of dating potential.  My first requirement was a college degree and all the people I associate with have that down so then it just became a matter of personalities, attraction and the like.

...idk...i never thought dating was that hard of a thing where i needed to write an algorithm. i hate math.
