It's great to read about the progress and the regimen updates. I will probably wear mine straight after next wash day to see if there's any growth retention. Have been wearing my hair up for a bit, mainly water and gel, so it's time to let it down again and this time stretched. Would be nice if the layers have grown in a bit (you know...catch up with the longer layers and stayed that way LOL). So not many hair updates for the moment, did the sunglasses in hair thing once the sun started shining a bit, but can't say I've been too versatile though. At least not as versatile as I would like. P.S. I am guilty of youthful towel hair moments back in the day as well.

Former Towel Wearing Lil Girl here too! Lol! I'm an 80's kid and my parents stayed video taping! I know there is a VHS tape with me singing Whitney 's 'Greatest Love of All' with a blanket on my head! I ain' t ashamed! Lol!
When my Momma saw my hair straight when I first hit MBL, she said- ' That little girl finally got that hair down her back!' Lol! My Daddy is just amazed and said- 'You always had hair, but damn, you have a lot of hair! '
Ladies, OMG! Yesterday, was a nice warm day with moderate wind. My friend and I were outside 'on break. The wind blew Cleo around me a lil(like a hair commercial) . Do y'all know this older man driving by, honked his horn and gave me the 'prostitute wave'?!!! I burst out laughing!
Then one of my Claimants came in with her family. As, we're finishing up, I go to give her lil sis a hug. Do y'all know I was accosted via weave check.in my workplace? ! First time in a VERY LOOOONG time! I got out on her too. Yuck! She apologized.bc her sis told her that it was all mine before she accosted me. But, she said- ' I couldn't help.myself! Its so pretty!' I gave her another hug and told her to keep her hands to herself. LOL? !

What a great thread. I hate how not too many people post on the hair growth threads. I've already got a regi planned out, but I still love seeing what others are doing and the growth they're achieving. It inspires me to work harder on getting my hair up to par! Right now, the back of my head is growing out from being shaved. If I pull the hair tight (a straightener never works on my hair at this length), it's a little bit past my shoulders at the lowest point (but the top of my head has a lot of growing to do to be at that length!) My goal is for my lowest point to be past my collarbone, and my highest point to be around shoulder-length, by summer. In the end, I want my hair to be an even length a little bit past my nipples. I'm trying to see if that much growth will be possible within a year! Haha! I definitely like to challenge myself. I'm currently taking 1,000mg MSM and 1,000mg gelatin a day. I plan on adding Chlorella and maybe biotin as well. However, I think my best growth will be achieved when I start on thyroid supplements later this week. I unfortunately cut my hair off around September (it was to the tops of my breasts UNSTRAIGHTENED) because I thought it was too damaged and needed to be gotten rid of. As it turns out, it was probably just my thyroid problems drying up my hair all along (I thought it was weird that I was treating my hair better than usual and bleaching it a LOT less, and it still got that damaged). It's to the point where moisturizing, deep conditioning, using leave-in conditioners and soaking it in olive oil every once in a while doesn't help much at all. So anything I can find to help the growth along now that my body should be performing better I'm definitely interested in!

Hey Natty Girl!!! Wishing you a happy and healthy hair journey!! I started this thread because like you said folks sometimes go into maintenance mode once they reach greater lengths, but folks still want to tap their brains for information, etc. So, I hope you and others find this thread fun, helpful, and informative.
Ritle- Skittle: I LUV YA NEW AVI!! SO MODELESQUE!
Ladybugs, that Exquisite Oil is giving Cleo life!! We had rain earlier today, so I decided to wear a ponytail pinned under. My co-workers told me that my shine was dazzling. I didn't really notice it this am, but it really is a good oil.
I'm glad I decided to do the straight thang for the cooler months because I don't have those ssk's and it appears that my hair is more free to grow rather than tangle. Now, the ssk's don't impede my growth, but I think that they may have slowed it down bc my hair was getting tangled. I haven't checked to see how close I am to WL officially, but it does appear that Cleo is inching towards waist!

Yay! #teamWL :) I'm hoping to reach by the end of March. I love my braidouts & twistouts, but the tangles get to me as well. Ugh,especially the roots since I work out 5 days a week.so I braid the roots about 1/4 or 1/2. I do about 36-50 of them,& it helps a ton! I can even wet it without braiding in the shower :)

Hey Long Haired Ladies! :)
One more month until my next length check and I hope I haven't hindered my progress with the new laid back regi I've been doing. It's been so hard PSing since I have been doing it hardcore for the last 3 years!
Now that I have some hair, shoot, I'm rocking it big n fluffy! :) I'll be sure to post pix next month when I do my length check.
